Taking that step out of the ‘furry closet’ is a little daunting at first, (for some considering the drama and most people don’t understand what its really about), but here are some really amazing furs out there. Genuinely nice people who’d give the shirts of their back, offer to buy you food of your short cash and hungry. I have more personal heartwarming stories i could tell then bad ones. Of all the fandoms ice been in, i’ve never found such generosity.
Ok so your going the foam route then? I certainly have some tips. Making suits, as well as seeing them and getting a hands on repairing other suit makers stuff, I can atleast tell you the do’s and don’ts.
Welcome to the fandom (officially), if you’d like to chat just drop me an ask with skype, aim(yes i still use this) or something. Though seeing how you build bots, i think you’ll be just fiiine~
The drama/hype/rumors that the general public has about furries always makes me super-nervous. I did post some of my furry art to deviantART a few years ago, and someone on EncyclopediaDramatica posted “[http://MiraiBaby.deviantart.com Miraibaby] on Deviantart is a transfaggot as well as a [[furfag]].”
So, it’s already starting. (and, ED for whatever reason, actually did upset me for a while)
Honestly, the Furry fandom is cool so far I’ve seen. Plus, it’s no different than Transformers. Or Naruto. Or Attack on Titan.
At the end of the day, it’s a large group of people that have a shared interest, and a passion for portraying characters they love. Nothing wrong with that. As for what’s defined as “Sick Furries” — there’s sick people in every fandom. You like what you like, right?
But foam. Yes. I’m getting a lot of pointers from a couple friends here and there. I’m super-interested in possibly doing a dropped-crotch suit like Tayerr and Flux. I like the big thighs for those costumes, though I’m not sure how well the design would fit with my feline lol.
